A homestay with a friendly and helpful host family?

It is easier to learn and study the English language when you have a cosy home in London! Give your course added value with a London Academy International homestay. Few schools can offer better! You will gain extra confidence in speaking English and learn a bit more about life in Britain.

All homestays are about 20 - 35 minutes from the school, and have good public transport connections to the school and to central London. Superior ones are nearer and have more facilities! Some are walking distance!

Standard families are excellent value for money, friendly, educated and very welcoming, with lovely homes. Conversation and good company will add value to your stay! We stronly recommend the standard homestsy! I think it ought to be called 'excellent'.

You can also book a taxi from the Airport to your family!

FAMILY OR HOMESTAY ACCOMMODATION
Finding accommodation can be very difficult and stressful, but Academy International makes it easy for you! We have been finding accommodation for our students for over 20 years. Please give us as much notice as possible, and also give us a first and a second choice for the accommodation you want. Although we work closely with the families, we act only as agents for them, and cannot guarantee last-minute bookings, though we try our best!

HIGH STANDARD FAMILY HOMESTAY
Staying with an English-speaking family in a good suburb of London, 20-40 minutes from the school. This is a splendid way to practise speaking English and learn about the English way of life. Single and twin rooms are available. You can choose bed and breakfast - or bed breakfast and evening meal. The minimum stay is normally two weeks. If you are allergic to certain domestic pets or need a special diet, it may be difficult to find you a family, especially in the summer, but we will do our best.. Our families are friendly and supportive. Students often request a family by name because a former Academy student recommended them. Our famlies are wonderful hosts, but please remember you are a guest in a private home - not a resident in a hotel! Whether you are a Cambridge exam student, an IELTS course student or on a general English course, staying with a family with will give you opportunites for conversation and help you to speak and understand the English language. You will learn a lot about life in London by speaking and sharing activities with your hosts!

SUPERIOR HOMESTAYS
These are available in Zones 1 & 2 in Central London. [If you want to have en suite facilities right in the centre of london, you must be prepared to pay for the extras. Please give as much notice as possible.]

STUDENT RESIDENCES
Many students who prefer a more independent approach choose to stay at one of our student residences. Some residences are near the school, others a short bus or tube journey. Student residences are basic but clean and comfortable, and the bathrooms are shared with other students. Some offer breakfast or evening meal, others are self-catering with shared kitchens, and all have recreation rooms and a launderette. The rooms are generally fully serviced and all bed linen and towels are always provided. Whilst all residences are good value for money, they vary somewhat in facilities so it is imposssible to provide a single description. Depending on the residence, you may choose either a single room or, if you are coming with a friend, a twin room.

COLLEGE HALLS OF RESIDENCE - MAINLY SUMMER
Some summer residences are near the school, other a short bus or tube journey. All have excellent facilities and a friendly international atmosphere. Most offer bed and breakfast only; almost all have kitchens you may use, pleasant recreation rooms, and a launderette. The rooms are generally fully serviced and all bed linen and towels are always provided. Whilst all residences are good value for money, they vary somewhat in facilities so it is imposssible to provide a single description. Depending on the residence, you may choose either a single room or, if you are coming with a friend, a twin room.

HOTELS
You can stay in a hotel near the School. There are some excellent small budget hotels nearby with friendly staff and offering a traditional English breakfast. The rooms or either en suite or bathrooms are shared, usually one bathroom to two bedrooms. All rooms have a TV, a fridge, and tea and coffee making facilities.
If you wish to stay in a more luxurious hotel with bars and restaurants, we can arrange for you to do so.

STUDIO APARTMENTS OR FLATS
Sudios or flats are available within walking distance of the School. They cost from £180 up. Ask for details! We have an excellent agent who is used to helping language schools!
